TSV - Reliable Valve Solutions for Chemical Processes

TSV supplies valves for demanding chemical processes. For corrosive, toxic, and high-purity media, we review composition, concentration, water content, temperature, pressure, solids, and cleanliness before selecting the body, trim, lining, seat, and packing. Our chemical valve experience spans 20+ years. TSV has supplied products for 100+ chemical projects in 80+ countries, covering a broad range of chemical process needs.

Key Challenges for Chemical Valves

Chemical media cause more than metal corrosion. Strong acids and alkalis can thin the body and trim, while fluoropolymer linings must resist seepage, cold flow, and damage under vacuum. Toxic media demand tighter stem and body seals. Organic solvents can swell or damage soft seals, while polymers, crystals, and thick fluids may build up inside the valve, cause sticking, and raise operating torque. High-purity lines bring added risks. Particles, residue, dead spaces, and cross-contamination must all be controlled to protect the cleanliness of the chemical process. TSV starts with the full process data. Using that data, we select corrosion-resistant materials, linings, and seals, along with low-retention flow paths, low-emission packing, bellows seals, flushing, or heat-traced designs as needed. Testing confirms the final fit. Checks may include material analysis, PMI, non-destructive testing, pressure and seal tests, plus high-pressure gas-tightness or fugitive emissions testing when service conditions require it.

Raw Material Storage and Transfer

Storage and transfer duties need reliable isolation. For truck unloading, tank inlets and outlets, and transfer between units, valve choice depends on corrosion, volatility, and flow needs.

Reactor Feed and Isolation

Reactors need fast and safe isolation. Ball and plug valves provide quick shutoff at reactor inlets and outlets when the process needs isolation. Toxic or volatile media need tighter seals. TSV can provide bellows seals or other double-seal designs to reduce leak paths at reactor inlets and outlets.

Batching, Dosing, and Mixing

Globe and control valves support accurate dosing. They control the measured flow of acids, alkalis, solvents, and additives during batching, dosing, and mixing.

Reaction Process Control

Stable valve action supports process control. Control and globe valves regulate flow, pressure, and temperature, while TSV sizes the trim and actuator for pressure drop, rangeability, cavitation, flashing, reaction temperature, and polymer buildup risk.

Certifications and Industry Standards

Standards depend on the selected valve model. When required by contract, TSV chemical valves can follow API-6D, ASME B16.34, API 608, API 600, and API 609. Project certificates are also available. Options include API-6D and CE certificates plus 3.1 material, pressure test, paint, and fugitive emissions test reports.

Actuator and Automation Integration
Actuator and Automation Integration

TSV can pair each valve with automation. Based on on-off, control, and safety interlock needs, we supply an integrated valve and actuator package for the chemical process. Site conditions guide the final setup. For corrosive plants and hazardous areas, the matched configuration reduces purchasing and system integration work while making installation, startup, and maintenance easier.
