The trunnion-mounted ball design ensures low operating torque even at full rated pressure, while the DBB functionality allows safe venting of the cavity between the two seats, providing double isolation for maintenance and pigging operations.


Key Features

1. Double Block & Bleed (DBB) Functionality

The DBB design provides dual isolation by sealing against pressure from both upstream and downstream sides. The body cavity between the two seats can be vented through a bleed valve, allowing safe depressurization for maintenance, leak testing, or pigging without depressurizing the entire pipeline.

2. Trunnion Mounted Ball

The ball is supported by upper and lower trunnion bearings, which absorb line pressure and reduce operating torque. This design ensures:

  • Smooth operation even at 1500# differential pressure.

  • Minimal seat wear, extending valve service life.

  • Suitable for large-diameter and high-pressure applications.

3. Reduced Bore (8" x 6")

The reduced bore design offers:

  • Lower torque and smaller actuator requirements.

  • Cost savings compared to full-bore valves.

  • Optimized flow control for applications where full-bore passage is not critical (e.g., gas/liquid transmission with occasional pigging capability only if bore size allows).

4. RTJ End Connection

The Ring Type Joint (RTJ) flange connection provides a reliable metal-to-metal seal under extreme pressures and temperatures. This ensures:

  • Zero leakage in high-pressure services.

  • Compliance with ASME B16.5 Class 1500 flange standards.

  • Easy installation and maintenance.

5. Anti-Static & Anti-Blowout Stem

  • Anti-static device for electrical continuity per API 6D.

  • Anti-blowout stem prevents stem ejection under pressure.
